I have a buddy with a 96 Vert GT similar to mine....he wants to lower it but is too cheap to go with the H&R's like me.......I told him I thought we could get away with C Springs...can you? I think it could sag...is this right due to the added weight. Also cant you cut the C's to get more of a drop?

ok I have called the manufacturers about this very same question - they said stfu (lol) but really to change the spring rate would take upwards of 400 pounds - the weight differnce between the coupe and vert is really not all that it is made up to be - they told me it was basically a racket - the dealers assume bc u have avert you have more money - vert>coupe - so that try and screw you a little harder -
that being said - I have 3 friends verts - all used "non vert specific springs" and they worked perfectly - heck I put my springs - 2" GT springs ( also not vert specific) on a guys v6 - and guess what they worked perfectly - I think its all abuncha crap and the springs are the same to me - and most the time the stuff you buy ( different brands) all coem from the same place - but do what your comfortable with.

Hell it basically comes down to the fact that it isn't my car.....so really I'm cool with whatever. How much more does the vert weigh than the coupe? I feel kinda used though.....damn expensive springs. You can cut those C Springs right?
