Default weld in, or bolt?

Whats the difference between weld-in and exhausts that bolt. I dont know much about this, and my friend mentioned it so I checked my car and my catback is bolted on to the midpipe. He said you can weld them on?

where they are bolted, u can take a welder and weld it together. like a stock exhaust is welded. people weld for a better seal, no exhaust leaks.

Say my catback was welded instead of bolted, can you remove welds if you ever wanted to replace anything?

No I think you'd have to buy a whole new midpipe

Welding it is a bad idea. Think about when it comes time to change the clutch. If there is a leak problem use high temp silicone.
