wierd noise

alright so as of last week my car has been making a clicking noise when i am around 2000-2500 rpm. anyone know what this could be?

Right off hand I would say exhaust leak or valvetrain. Probe around your valve covers with a large crewdriver to your ear and see if you can isolate it, if not, get it on a lift and check for exhaust leaks. You didn't say where you heard it coming from but those are the usual suspects for a clicking sound. Also, does it only do it when your moving? that would tell us a lot. Hope this helps,

i think i am experiencing the same thing. it happens in low rpms and i hear a few brief clicks or grinds when i shift quickly. any suggestions as what this is will be appreciated

Shops generally charge you for their time if they can properly diagnose the problem. Also it sounds like your shift solonoid valve could be of issue

Manual or Automatic? I didn't even remember to ask that. I know you can take it to Ford and if they can't dagnose it I don't pay them, If they can tell you what's wrong and they want a ridiculous amount of money to fix it (they always do) I just tell them I don't have the money and I go fix it myself. Anyway, try to narrow down the location of the noise, bring a freind and have them stick their head out the window and listen for it, finding out if it's the engine or transmission would be a big help.
