Default 96 GT options

Ok so my 96 GT is burning some oil at times valve seals I believe. My question well have a few Should I do the full PI head swap? Jegs has Ford Racing heads for like $360.00 a piece and the intake for $199.99. If I can scrounge some more money possibly cams for it and long tube headers? But my other question its almost paid off so should I just hold out and sell it and get a 96-98 Cobra? Ive had to sink alot of money into this car lately cause stuff keeps wearing out which I could understand for 127K miles. But if I do the swap I could do it myself but what would you all do the swap? Pay it off and get a 96-98 Cobra? Or any other suggestions? By the way are there any problems I should be aware of on the 96-98 Cobras? Suggestions please sorry for the long post.

I swapped a 2004 motor into my '97, the motor was about $1700 and has 30k on it. It's almost easier to have the motor out to do the heads anyway so why not replace the whole damn thing? Although, The bottom ends on our motors are very durable and 127k on it isn't very much so if you decided to do the PI swap you would still be in good shape there. I did the whole swap in about a weekend and wound up with 252 rwhp. Hope this helps,

Steve

Jegs doesn't have any PI heads for $400.(remember we have a 4.6 and not a 5.0) and a PI intake can be found on ebay. If it were me I would sell it and save for a newer car with the PI parts to start with or the '96-'98 Cobra! Mark
