blah blah blah, I bought mine and had the same issue, thought i had major issues. The woman i bought it from said she never got it over 3k rpms. it ended up just needing a bottle of lucas oil injector/fuel system treatment. these 4.6;s get carbon buildup easily especially if you dont run them hard. this carbon build up retains heat and at higher rpms causes predetonation. mine pings if i go more than a month without using the lucas product. its like $9 for a big bottle that will give you about 5 uses. seriously this is all it is, i promise
