The 18x9's don't have much of a lip. Kinda look the same as the regular bullitts but the 18x10's do have a huge lip that really looks good. I got the 17x9/17x10.5's which I think are just as good plus a little bit wider [sm=icon_rock.gif]. With the 18's though I guess you wouldn't have to worry as much about lowering the car because of the taller wheel. It's your car, your call. Whatever you go with will look good cuz it's a mustang.

Isnt asking someone to explain the difference between lip sizes because they were unsure "tech"? I mean I know he didnt ask for an in-depth answer of how the deep-dish wheels are made, but give the guy a break. This thread is more "tech" than 90% of the stuff posted in 4.6.

This may come across as a stupid question, but is there a safety reason why everyone does the 9 width on the front instead of matching the back?

No, its strictly for the look. Personally I think the 17/18x10 has too big of a lip for my car (lookwise). Im runnin 17x8 on the front and 18x9 on the back. So I have a bigger lip on the back, but not as big as the 18x10s...

I hope this isnt considered digging up a dead thread, but I just thought of another question concerning Deep Dish rims.

Do any modifications need to be done to fit the wider tire for the deep dish's?

I was thinking of doing the 18x10 bullit

I still can't figure out if it would look ricey or tacky to have 18x10 on the front too instead of 18x9

I know 18x9 would be cheaper, rim and tire wise.
