Do I really need Long Tubes??????

Default Do I really need Long Tubes??????

Or should i go with the shorties for my 06 GT - and if i do get long tubes will I have to also change my stock mid pipe set up? thats the main consern -

If you plan on adding a power adder or digging into the engine to replace cams and heads, go with the long tubes and do it up right. Otherwise, the shorties are a waist and won't really net you any hp gains for the money you spend on them.

Partially agree, if you plan on adding alot of power, you will NEED LT headers. If you are just looking for a few minor bolt ons, save your money and dont swap the headers, shorties are junk and do nothing for you. You will also need to change the mid-pipe if you go long tube, swap it with the pro-chamber, works wonders!
