Just bought my first one this summer...96 gt auto. I noticed that 99-up have PI intake and heads. What does PI stand for? Also, will just the PI intake give me a noticable gain? Thanks, Brian

PI = Performance improved. 99-04's have PI heads/cams/intake. Putting a PI intake onto your car will give you noticeable gains (15hp?). It isn't a direct fit onto the NPI heads, but there are a number of places where you can buy PI intakes with adapter kits meant for NPI heads.

Find a set of PI Romeo heads and an intake. net 60 hp. bump in compression to 10.4:1 and you'll have to run 89+. Cold starts might be a problem if you live in a hell state like michigan!
