Default HIGH STALL CONVERTER/LINCOLN?

I spoke to a torque converter man this morning about raising the stall of the converter in my '99. He said he could not get but a few hundred rpm's more from the stock 12" converter BUT said there could be a possibility that an 11" from a Lincoln could work if our flexplates were double drilled as the 11" has a different pattern or if the Lincoln flexplate was the same diameter as the Mustang's so the starter would engage the flexplate. He said the Lincoln's with the Hi-po motors, I am assuming the 4v head cars, had an 11", 2800rpm stall stock that he could get to around 3200rpm's which would be great. Anyone have experience with this? I did a couple of searches that came up empty. Thanks, mark
