i have a 97 Expedition that is a complete DOOOOooooogggg, and was just wondering if this is the same motor that they use in the GT mustangs and if so, are there mods that i can get for specific year mustangs that will fit my motor? which H/C/I swap is recommended? headers? X or H pipe (don't want to be too loud, it's a family car and i use it to hunt)? Possible good inexpensive Supercharger for it like a Novi 1000?

Is ther anythign that i should know about my motor in particular? is it the ford modular? is it the 3V?

I live in Colorado and can barely go 50mph up the passes.

 

It is basicly the same engine with some minor changes like intake cams and tune. Trucks are designed for torque for pulling. Exhaust parts wont fit because of the difference in engine compartment and body. Im sure you could get custom grind cams if you call one of the companys like comp. Im really not sure what you can do to improve perfoemance but you might be able to find some sites that can help.

figured the exhaust stuff designed for a mustang would not fit. I was just wondering if anybody had experience with adding those exhaust systems to a truck.

I know that Companies like edelbrock and TrickFlow make H/C/I kits for the 5.0, do they do them for the 4.6 as well?
