Just got home from the track

Just got home from the track
Went to Temple Dragway tonight for some more TNT and another Mustang VS Fbody Shootout. The track SUCKED, I was laying down about 12 feet of rubber on every launch and couldn't get any better than a 1.66 60'.
The car was very consistent though, even on the bad track. I ran a 12.52, 12.56, 12.54 and another 12.52 in qualifying for the Shootout. I put a 12.50 dial in on the car and ran a WS6....I got enough ahead of him and let off with a 12.9@92mph.
Next round I went up against a buddy of mine in a bolt on '99 Cobra (so many Fbodies were eleminated, some of the Mustangs had to run against other Mustangs). He had a 13.5 dial in, so I waited a full second and launched. I caught him pretty quickly, passed him and let off completely. I rolled up to the ET booth and received a YELLOW slip. I looked and was SO MAD for 3 reasons....#1, I wouldn't be going to the next round, #2, I broke out with a 12.4@101 and #3, with that time and letting off....IT WOULD HAVE BEEN A 12.1-12.2...UUGGHH.
Oh well, again I am very happy with the consistency of the car. Still working on getting some beter times by playing with suspension set-up. I had to soften the front end up and lower tire pressure to 11psi.

Nice consistent times, and nice 1.66 60' times, your the only one who can complain about that, LOL. 12.1-12.2 would have been sweet as hell, just kinda at the wrong time. Was there any payouts, or was it just for fun? I think you'll hit 11's soon, just keep working with it, were all pulling for you.

Hey Mitch, me and you gotta hook up one day after I get my car back from THR. I go to Temple almost religiously, unless I'm down in San Antonio. I gotta see what my baby can do up against another heavily modded 2V.
