Default 315 tires

Do I have to do any mods to make 315/35/17 tires fit?

What size wheels are you putting them on?

Other than a set of 10.5 inch rims nope.

I have a set of 315 nittos in the UPS truck.

You just need the proper size rims.

2000gt4.6, let me warn you...never try a set of BFG d/r's. Because if you do you will hate Nittos, I had BFGs first and then got Nittos because the BFGs wore out so fast and now I hate Nittos. Feels like I'm on ****ty tires that dont grip for ****, lol.

I dunno, even with the stock suspension the car just seems to hook really well, even with the 275s, on the street.

THe car has never been to the track, and I can definatly NOT do one of those 3500 RPM drops and floor it, but it still seems to hook real well.

I seriously thought about going with the BFGs, but the 315s are even more expensive than the 275s. I don't hardly put any miles on the car, but I don't want to be screwed if I am stuck in the rain, and its a 2+ hour drive home during hte summer, and I want to be able to take the stang.

I think I am gonna do a 8.8 build soon an get some chepo tires and some good rubber for DRY crusing days and the strip though.

Yea, I ordered the 10.5 dd bullitt rims the other day. Are bfg's the best drag radial to run? How long do you think they would last on a daily driver?

Not long, DR's are really not meant for the daily drive

I get close to 10K out of my nittos, and they are fine in the rain.

You don't want to get stupid with them in the rain, but you don't want to do that with any tire really.
