I got my kit today but i noticed it says "reprogrammer kit" on it. on a previous thread i posted the link to make sure it was the right one. Everyone that posted confirmed and said i was good to go. Is this reprogrammer kit any different from a shift kit or are they one in the same? It's the transgo kit off of ebay.

`reprogrammer kit`is just a figure of speach, if you`re thinking it`s gonna do something to your car`s computer lol. Shift kit is often called a reprogrammer kit because it changes the shift points etc, thus `reprograming` your tranny.

So long as the kit is for your car & year & the right tranny then you`re good to go

oh and btw anybody ever installed one of these on an auto? Is it hard and how long does it take? I think i may just pay someone to do it. When it comes to tranny work i'm a virgin.
