Default skeptical about lowering.

I'm kinda skeptical about lowering my car. I've been thinking Eibach Pro-kit, or H&R, but I've read that it messes up different suspension components, or throws things off....I know i gotta get it realigned, but what else would I have to fix?? Is it worth it? Is lowering just for looks, besides center of gravity or performance (if even noticeable).?

just doing a 1.5" drop isnt going to through anything off enough that you would need other compenents to adjust into proper specs. With that height you dont need an aftermarket c/c kit or offset rack bushings, bumpsteer kit etc you will be completely fine and you should not have to worry about bottom out much or anything it will be completely drivable and you dont only just lower it for looks it helps lower the center of gravity as well as give better handling

You will need an alignment. You may or may not need c/c plates. Some have lowered there's 1.5" with no need of anything else and some (few) needed the c/c plates to get it aligned to spec. The only way to know for sure is to install the springs and see if it can be aligned properly. Of course then there's the "...well I already have it torn apart..." syndrome to deal with.[sm=alcoholic.gif]

I'm gonna play it safe and go with FRPP C (Or maybe B) Springs. Only like a 1.2 inch drop, which is enough to lose the 4x4 look, but the chances of needing c/c plates and bottoming out drop significantly. Plus, they're cheap.

I like the B springs, so far. I only have the fronts, but the rears are soon to follow. Maybe tomorrow. Maybe next year.[&:]

Look here.
