DO NOT GET A V6!........i totally understand that there are some people that have had success in building a v6 but there is something you always have to remember.....after all the money you spend trying to squeeze the last bit of power out of that thing in the end......it's still a v6,i live in west palm beach and just traded my 04' hemi ram for an 02'gt 5 speed and for some reason my insurance went up $20 a month even though the hemi was 2 years newer and had almost 100 more horses.....i don't get the insurance bulls**t that they get away with down here but if you want to play, you have to pay,and i really didn't care how much more i would have to pay 'cuz that for sure is not going to stop me from driving a v8!don't think so much about the money because what you save in insurance is only going to go into hooking up a v6?i'm 30 years old man, trust me when i say "there is no replacement for displacement"...just my opinion,i just don't want my younger brethren making a bad decision because of some insurance company...no matter what you do to a six,it will never sound like a v8.

You can pick up a 2004 GTO with the LS1 for about 20k. I would go that route if you want power on a budget.
