keep your current car imo. the 5.0 is a good platform esp if you want to add heads.

Yeah why not build up the Cobra you have now? Unless you just hate that bodystyle?

ORIGINAL: 04mineralgreyGT

All 4.6 cobras are 4 valves. 03 is when they put a supercharger on top of the 4v. the 03-04 mach 1 is also a 4v. 96-04 gts are the 2v mustangs. Actually, the cobra R was 2000, 2001, no cobra in 02, then 03-04 was the terminator. The years for the cobra were 93-99, 00 (R model w/5.4l), 01, and 03-04 (terminator w/ s/c).

edited after looking up the production lines of the cobra on muscularmustangs.
This is pretty much on point. The 5.4L in the 00R was a 32 valve DOHC that made considerable power.
In 02 they released a number of cobras in Australia with 4 fog lights, new side markers and a full Right hand drive conversion.

Yeah the newer body style is more for me, and buying the V6 and putting the motor in is a good idea and all if I want a sleeper but as soon as I start doing my body panel changing, all thats lost.

Maybe the GT and then searching and finding the right motor is the way to do it. I just hate doing things for something temporary. As in whether I get this new one or even a different car because i change my mind, I want this to be the car I have for a very long time. I hate the feeling thinking that I would buy this next one and then have a change in mind 2 years from now and want something different. So this next purchase I plan on keeping the car for a long time.
