will a 302 5.0 fox body engine fit in a 98 style GT?

Sure, but why would you do it??? If I was switching engines, I'd get a '99+ 281 to put in there.

Technically speaking you can put any engine in any car you want. If you really wanted to, you could dump a blown 426 hemi in a '98 Mustang. You could dump a 454 in a backhoe (ask my neighbor). You could dump a 327 in a Volkswagen. All it takes is some creativity and fabrication, in most cases. Since '94-'95 Mustangs have a 302, all you should need is the parts to bolt it up, since the body is the same as a '98. I think he'll need a new bellhousing if it's a manual. Other than that, unless it's going to be carb'd, he'll need a computer from a 5.0 car.
