Default WHATS THE NORM? Midpipe

Well I just got my LM2 on about a week ago and it sounds great. But now I thik it is time for a new O/R H pipe. I was gonna wait until I got my LTso that I wouldn't be wasting my moneyonthe full lenth midpipe. Then I got to thinking that I am not gonna haveLT's for a while since I am broke and still have to pay of the pony. Now I have an exhaust shop I would go to that would custom make me the midpipe, so I won't be paying for the name. For all the guys who have had their midpipe installed by a shop I wanted to know how much they charged. I have heard far too many horror stories about the passenger side bolt so I will just let them deal with it if it is affordable.

Well at a local shop.. since i ordered the part through him and such he didnt charge me taxes and charged me like $18 for install.. Not sure if this is common though. All they have to do is unscrew and rescrew bolts so i would think it sounds fair..

personally ive installed a few, and had one put on/fixed (it was leakin and i got tired of pullin it off and puttin it back on with no results), my local mustang shop charged me like 60 bucks to pull it off and put it back on. and that passenger side isnt that bad. you just gotta know how to use a swival socket and big extension

not to mention the fact that you said you were doin LT's so your midpipe will take like 2 mins to hook up and take off. screw payin somebody to hook it up for you....do you know how to use a wrench, do you know which end of the bolt goes where. then you can do the install. all you need is a jack/lift, sockets/wrenches, and your golden. its easy with LT's....its just a pain to do it with stock or shorty headers.

god damn it does no one read the original post! I decided against LT because they are too much for my budget. I will be hooking up the h pipe to the stock manifolds. I know how to use tools and i know hooking a midpipe to lt are reeeal easy. GOD DAMN
