Default Running TOOO lean

Ok so a buddy just picked up a 97 Gt coupe. Got a good deal on it and it has 90k...the problems start here. We had a pro flow MAF calibrated for 19 lb injectors ( i think the orange stock ones are 19 right) i know mine are 30's so I'm kinda shooting in the dark here. It worked ok for a few days although it seemed a little off then the Check Engine popped. I hooked it up to my code reader and got a 171 174 ( i think those were them) which equated to running both banks lean. I pulled the spark plugs ( motorcraft platnium) and got some tr55's ( ngk) and put em in, the plats were going whiteish so I'm thinking lean. What is up with this, could I be missing anything.

I think it may be the fuel pump....its whining pretty bad. Im gonna put a new fuel filter in it and see if it fixes the problem.
