Default Leaky Convertiable, HELP!

It had rained for about 2 weeks straight here in ohio and i noticed that the interior was damp and the inside of the windows were foged up in the morning. My seals between the two windows seem to be worn out and the seal seems to be in the correct place to be the problem. The top has no rips or tares and is in good condition. I went to the dealer and i was told that the seal is not a seperate part, you have to buy the entire window!

Has anyone else had this problem? I can get a picture of the seal if that would help anyone out. I want to get this fixed bc it has already ruined my seatbelt enough to annoy me and i dont want any more problems.

happened to mine after like 8 years...had to replace the entire section. You could try some clear silicone for a temp fix. The tops are rated for replacement every 8-10 years.

Did you have to replace the top or just the rear window?

So, where exactly is the leak? Sounds like water is getting in between the door glass and the side rear 1/4 window? On both sides? What's wrong with the seal is it just worn out or ripped?

i replaced my entire top because i wanted to change colors and upgrade to a better material. The rear window is attached to the section around it...the entire top is 2 sections...the main section and the rear window section. You can order the section from 50resto.com if your looking for a stock replacement or find a local upholstery and get it done by them...usually alot cheaper then Ford...actually Ford will most likely sub it out to a local shop and add a middle man fee.

I would say it is a little of both worn out and ripped. It does need replaced, but what im really wondering is if there is a way to get a new rubber piece with out the entire 1/4 window attached to it?
