whats up guys. i just recently use the defroster which is rare here in south texas lol. i notice, the rpm got affected and i notice that the a/c compressor turn on. i had the temp gauge set on on hot and still turns on. does it suppose to turn on when you have the temp gauge set on all red. i always thought it kicks in when you set it on the cool side. just wondering here, and yes, it surely works and keeps the car warm

The AC position on the knobis notjust AC.You can regulate the temp of the air coming out of the AC by increasing the temp setting.The heat selection will just be heat that I know of.The Defrost selection , because you have the ability to regulate the temperature will be a combination of heat and AC depending on where you put the temperature selection.
It's in the manual by the way.
Even the letters AC means Air Conditioning, to condition the air could mean Hot or cold

it kicks on because of the drier, its normal and u can run any temperature, it dries the air out so when u defrost/defog the window it will actually get rid of the fog rather and keeping moisture in the air thereby not defogging the window
