would i be able to run an engine with an 8:5:1 compressoin without f/i or would i just not be as quick without having F/i. thanks

 

if you lower you compression, without forced induction, i believe most motors will lose horsepower.

 

thats what i thought itll still run but ill just loose HP. my friend and i are arguing right now about if itll run or not. hes sayin it wont run at all with low comporession like that. and im sayin itll run but ill just loose horspower with no force induction. thanks

 

yep, my friends s/c belt got shredded when he first got his car, it's got 8.5:1, and it ran fine, just really rich as there was extra gas for the air that wasnt there.

 

yep it will run on 8.5:1 what do you think stock compression is 8.5:1 of course it will run but it would run a lot better 10.5:1 but if you want forced induction keep compression low
