I have an alternator ? on a PI Swap

I'm doing a PI swap on my 97GT. Will the 99+ alternator fit if I retain my old school timing cover? You know the one with the coil packs on it!..lol I have my 97 130amp origional alternator and want to upgrade to a 200 amp and don't want to waste my money if it won't fit. I also have the PI alternator bracket and would like the alternator to be secured properly. Any help would be great. Thanks

No, you have to keep the 97 alternator. You can get a 200 amp that'll fit 96-98

From what I hear you should be able to bolt all of your stock stuff on the new heads. Enjoy the new found power.

The harness to the 96-98 and the 99+ are different. From what I understand, you can't just swap harnesses either, thecircuits insidethe voltage regulatorsare different.
