Default Rearend problem?

So the past couple of days while driving around I have been noticing something wrong with my rearend. While driving and either accelerating or letting off the gas and slowing down, it seems like the car is jumping, kinda sounds like a grind, but the car jumps. Maybe my tires need rotated, but I've never had this big ofa problem before when I needed my tires rotated, but I think there is more too it. Anyone experience this and know what it might possible be? Thanks

Yeah sounds like your U-joints are bad! Not a hard fix. Cost is about $20 or so. and it's only 8 bolts 4 for each one. Get under the car and try to move your driveshaft back and forth. If it moves or clunks change those u-joints

When I had a problem with my rear diff it was a solid vibration and some noise, but only when I turned to the left... That is due to the way the limited slip works. When I took it apart, all of the gears were just plain chewed to hell... It sounds like it could be the U-joints, but it could really be most anything related to your driveshaft. It could be loose or out of ballance... I would say that it could be that your wheels are way out of ballance, but you are saying that there is a noise that is associated with it... leads me to think that unless there are two separate and unrelatedproblems that came up with your car at the same time, it is most likely in the driveshaft area (including the tranny rear bushing)... Chances are that it will be a cheap and easy fix...
