Front and Rear Isolator removal
I have seen a lot sweet suspension set-ups that include springs and removal of the front and rear isolators? What are isolators and whats there purpose? If you remove them when you drop your car does it do anything? Is it recommended? Also, when you get your springs installed at a shop, can you tell them to remove the isolators? Sorry for the questions, but I just found my dream set-up and it had the front and rear isos removed; so i wanted to know about them. Thanks guys!!!

RE: Front and Rear Isolator removal
The Iso's are the rubber inserts that go in between the spring perch and the spring. There function is to help metal to metal squeaking and noises. they are about 1/2 to 1in thick can't remember right now. So if you remove them your car will be a little lower.

I would highly recommend you to not take them off when adding lowering springs as it my cause body squeak and noise. When you dolower the car replace the rubber isolators you have now with some aftermaket poly's
