mabye not an 04, they changed some stuff on those guys, but why would you want to use those gauges? theyre pretty much the same arent they? do what i did and find some bullitt gauges from a salvage yard, you will be much happier or if you really want to go for the autometer guage replacement. however you do it you will have to pull the guages apart and swap the circuit boards so the PATS system in the keys will let you start your car

Does the 00 have a digital odometer? The 03-04's do. That may be a little different. Other than the odometer being different they're exactly the same thing. Why nit just keep the one you have or if it's broke buy an OEM replacement.

Well my speedo goes wacky and I have narrowed it down the the cluster. Speedo sensor is fine and the needle just goes wacky every once in a while. I figured that I could just get a new cluster and then keep it out of my car until I get white face gauges and rings for it. I have a digital odomter on mine but I don't want to pay for it and then have it not work.

Save and get the simco or the autometer complete cluster. Thats what I'd do.

Can't afford the Autometer. I guess I can afford them... but I don't want to afford $350 gauges. How much are Simco? The Simco ones I saw had an ugly denver broncos emblem on them.

Yes they will be interchangable.

If my theory is correct, you will not have a working rear defroster though... this is because of the wiring, however, it's a -somewhat- easy fix.

Or (as is my case... but I seriously doubt this), your rear defroster could just be on all of the time. If that's the case, you'll have to pull its fuse in the engine bay to keep it off. It will even be on if the car is off and the key is out. The rear defroster button will then be forever known as the "blow a fuse" button... As you could guess, when you press it, it will blow a fuse.

I'm not just saying this, I have a cluster from a 99 Cobra in my car.

The mileage will be stored in the cluster you buy, so record your mileage before you remove your old cluster. There is no way to transfer your mileage to the new cluster.
