Busted/siezed valve train would've been my guess. Launching at 5K RPM doesn't go over well for long. Stock block has a free rev limiter (as you know) at 3500RPM. Under load that's bumped to whatever it is for the GT (6250K I think). Have you actually taken the heads off? I probably missed it, but does it even crank?

Good luck man. Post us with some updates asap. So with a turbo set up unlessyou have a forged block you can't really run more than4 lbs of boost?
