Pulling the heads... fingers crossed

RE: Pulling the heads... fingers crossed
I have heard that if you don't set it sonone of the pistons are TDC you can damage the valves when you remove the chains, as the cams may snap back in place and wack the vavles on the pistons.
DONT get the heads ported by them unless they have done a set of 2v heads before. Its pretty easy to screw up a port job on the 2v heads and remove too much matieral and acutally cost hp.

Ok I am going to start this job this week. I am getting my new intake manifold with the aluminum cross over sometime this week hopefully. Does anyone know of a website or anything I can get that is detailed on taking off and putting back on the heads?

dont forget all the other crap you will have to buy to get it back together. head gaskets, head bolts, cam bolts. all those bolts are torque to yeild so they cant be reused. also all the gaskets...cam cover, timing cover...ect
and it will take about 8 hours per head for a decent port and polish
