whats the cap made of? is it plastic or metal? it probably isnt neccessary to have on there

the front is plastic. but the sides are metal, its a seperate piece from the rest of the pulley it looks like it should just pop off, but it wont, you sayin i should break it off?

i was thinking that may work.. but i dont know if its vital or not which you should find out first... is it just a cap that is suppose to be removed to put the pulley on it?
