Default how to find rear end gearing

i bought my stang about 3 weeks ago from a old guy who new nothing about what mods were on the car and have been find good suprises since. other than poping the cover off is there anyway to find if i have stock gears or not?

i think you mean the driveshaft.

mark the driveshaft and spin the tire on rotation, 3-1/4 rotations of the driveshaft would mean you have stock gears 3-3/4 = 3.73, and a little over 4 would be 4.10's

haha thanks for pickin that up, i guess thatll be kinda hard to judge the gears from since its encased and after the gears...
