Hi, I have a 2000 gt with a vortch v2 sq with aftercooler, with 373's and mac long tubes off road prochamber. and cat back looking for the best clutch to get????? The problem is break in on the clutch i am installing all the stuff listed above at the same time and the car is going stright to the dyno to get tuned as soon as all is installed .....just worried about beating on the clutch as soon as it is installed .....what clutch to get ??? ceramic ?? or kevlar ??? what brand and type ??? i dont wanna be pulling those long tubes off if i screw up the newclutch up on the dyno tuning....

any help would be appriciated

I would contact the guys over at Ram Clutches for their help. They hooked me up with a Cobra R spec clutch and pressure plate that was awesome. Break in on the clutch was ok because it was closer to OE standards than most.

I have also had a Spec stage III clutch and break in time on it seemed to be zilch. I was racing the hell out of that car just a short time after the clutch was put in, that was the most positive feeling clutch I have ever used, but thanks to a warped pressure plate and their refusal to accept that they have EVER released a faulty product I wont be using them agian. My Clutch mechanic even said it came that way from the factory and that there was no way I could have warped it like that.

I also hear that McLeod is one hell of a clutch.

I have used Luk, Spec, Ram, Ford Racing (Which I think uses Luk, not sure.)

Spec stage 2 or Spec stage 3 both should be able to hold the torque without slipping.
