royal purple is, for whatever reason mechanically, from everything i've seen, a fantastic product. i've seen tons of stuff that shows improvements. its just better oil. will you see 8 RWHP gain from swapping out engine, tranny, and diff fluid? probably not. but you have nothing to lose; the engine runs more efficiently, less drag on the engine, which can only mean better MPG, less engine wear, and more free HP either way.

I had used Mobil 1 for the previous three oil changes before trying out RP for my most recent change. I can't guarantee an 8 hp gain, but I did notice a significant difference in pick-up and acceleration. It also seems to run smoother than after previous oil changes.

Horsepower levels have nothing to do with it. Better lubrication is better lubrication. Synthetic oils reduce friction significantly (if you don't believe it, try the hold a screwdriver dipped in it test) and are better able to take the abuse of high heat situations.
Synthetic FTW!

Those guys are a couple of shills. I saw one show where they were pushing the Terminator, they were gushing about how it adds HP. You knowwhat I'm talking about, that metal fan shaped piece of crap you put in your air intake. Anything for a buck.
