Default idle problems?

when i start my car my idle stays around 1200 for quite sometime, it eventually dips back to normality, but i was wondering if any of you guys had some ideas as to why this is happening. and another thing if i try and accelerate really slow there is like a vibrating/hesitation feeling-cant really explain it but hey if you have an idea let me know.

I have had both of them problems might be the IAC (Idle Air Control) for the rev when you start it. Does it hesitate just when taking off or if you are coasting and cruising does it hesitate too?

I would try cleaning up the IAC. see if that is the prob. mine has the same prob cept it revs to 2 grand and slowly goes down. Heard it was the IAC haven't had mine off yet though might work on it today. will let ya know how it goes.

My quarter is 13.6 at 105 but I have trouble with traction and granny shift cause its the original tranny. I don't trust the original and am waiting for it to go out. I am pushin 320HP and 379TQ at the rear wheels. I can't wait to get the ported and polished PI heads and intake I have on.

Those numbers were with a pinion bearing out in the rear end and it was grinding at the time of the dyno pull. may not make much of a dif but just to let ya know.
