Does the '00 GT Diff cover use a gasket or is it just sealed with RTV?

use rtv. i used the red stuff and hasn't leaked a drop in 20k miles.

either. rebuild kits come with a gasket. i used a gasket and mine doesnt leak either.

Thanks...So the local Ford dealership should have a shelf full of Diff cover gaskets?!?!

don't use gasket just use the rtv it will save you a mess and work better....
