smell coolant after getting on it
i recently installed a few mods on the same day, and it seems since then.....almost every time i get on the throttle, afterwords it seems like i smell coolant for a minute, and then the smell goes away. the car is not running hot and isnt low on coolant....and i didnt see any leaks anywhere, and its not leaving fluid in the driveway. its an 04 gt...5 speed....47k miles....the mods that i had installed right before this started happening is: steeda tri-ax, 75mm throttle body, 75mm plenum, and a jet chip. is the smell normal after upgrading more of the engines intake? (tb and plenum)? anyone else ever notice this smell?

RE: smell coolant after getting on it
You would get smell from you TB/plenum intake set-up and def not from your Triax...lol Make sure your intake looks dry and check your Serpentine belt for obvious wear. A belt can smell like coolant a little bit I suppose if you get on it and it's slipping?? Also if you have a slight headgasket leak and coolant is leaking in, you will not see your coolant go down much at all. It doesn't take much for that smell to appear! Have you also checkes your coolant level both cold and hot? Hot should be right around the fill and cold should be kinda high?
