I agree, get a blower and sink a little money into your car. I got a GT with a vortech and bolt-ons and have yet to be beat my anything. Except down at the race track, but that's a given. I don't race much on the street but what I have I've beat everything. Including vette's (not the new z06), 98 Mustang cobra, z-28 w/100 shot, R32 golf, and a number of other things that aren't worth listing. The only thing that was pretty close was the z-28 with nitrous. Keep your car and spend half the money to have something way faster then 99% of cars on the road,.

Your car is a dog stock...get a built motor and supercharge it you will own all around you, period. I've also driven the m3 its a nice car but after looking it over to mod one is a. a PITA, b. it didn't respond like a 400 hp car, c. my father-in-law has a m6 and it could be a beast but for an m-car you need a college degree to drive it. all things considered for 20k you could have a fully built motor, supercharged with a full suspension and 13" baer brakes kit w/rotors. Honestly for a man considering a 50k+ car 20k invested in a 14k car seems like a better deal than buying a 58k outright. Plus you'll have a ford.

The issue here is, in acceleration, I do own almost all, but I lose out in top end which is where most of my races end up. Usually he who backs off first...... loses. I could get a built motor and supercharge it, but is that going to get me a higher top end??Or just get me to my current top end faster. I would need to get a new tranny with some crappy *** geared rear end to not kill the red line wouldn't I?

get yourself a good suspension setup, either mm or griggs, that'll run ya close to 4k with install, a mongoose kb kit/2.1l kb or a hp tt kit. You'll be at your stock blocks limit and be able to take corners like a champ within 10k-11k, new forged block from either mmr or vt, cams and heads your looking to be in the mid 15k-16k and having a car that will rape m3's all day handle close to what an m3 does and still be spending 42k less than what the m3 cost

Do not, I repeat, Do not give in!!!! Sell one of the cars and pour the money into the other. If it were me I'd sell the Vette and push the Bullit to 1000+HP. Then go out there and drop an A bomb on that a$$.

Good Answer Kenv!!! Dude DO NOT GET RID OF THAT CAR! I've heard that the drugs are great overseas, but get real. If you have money to blow like that, do it right! Start from the bottom up and you will have no problem with other guys. "Thinking seriously about selling the Bullitt", ..........[sm=icon_beat.gif]
