Default high impact axles

my car is pushing out enough hp's now that i need to start worrying about blowing out the rear end. i have no idea when it comes to axles on what size or how many splines and what not that i would need. would anyone be able to help me out with what i would be looking for for my 04 gt? I'm eventually looking to put out a lot of power with this car and want to change these axles once. any help would be great.

You'll need 31 spline axles and a 31 spline differential. Below are links to what you need basically

I can't tell you an exact number but you're not going to break them. Trust me unless you plan on pushing INSANE power that thing is practically indestructable

You could also look for a 31 spline 8.8 Ford truck differential (100 bucks or so) and have it cleaned up. Then you could get your 31 spline axles. It'll save you a good chunk of change. Several of our locals here do that and they're still holding up after 100's of 5-6k launches on d/r's and slicks alike.

What kind of power levels are you making, and what tires are you running? So long as you run nothing more sticky than a nitto d/r you should have no problems with the stock 8.8
