Default Stage 3 Patriot Heads & New Cams in an Auto

Are stage 3 patriot heads with new camsoverkill for an Automatic? What cams would you suggest? Will in NEED a stall converter? What else would I need or do you suggest I should get if I am going to go through with the install? How much HP do you think I can gain?

i dunno if its overkill for an automatic, you can always upgrade your transmission. id get a stall converter for 3200+ minimum but i would probably go with the stage 2 heads since you dont really have anything but bolt-ons. im not knocking you, im just saying your money could be better spent elsewhere, like FI

I agree, I amhave all the mods in my sig and was considering buying VT stage 1 cams for extra HP and sound. Then I found a good deal on some Patriot stage 3 heads. I just want to get everything done at once with a chip and dyno tune so I don't have to keep getting it retuned.

IMO unless you have the money and intent to rebuild the shortblock with aftermarket parts heads are a very large waste of money.

1500+ for the heads + 600+ for the cams, then lots of little extra stuff like gaskets etc.. your well on your way to 2500 bucks with a goal of maybe 310-315 WHP (with all the boltons too).
