Default odNeed Rods for 500+ hp boosted 2V. Help!

I need some good rods for my 2V running about 500+ rwhp with 10+ lbs of boost. I just disintregated one on the first run of the season. Not a piece left bigger than matchstick. H-rods? I-rods? Brand? Money IS an object, but I don't want to buy junk and I don'tneed to buy 1300hp rods. Ideas?? Thanks.

And no reason to make 2 or 3 posts about the same basic question.

I asked a question about rods. And I asked a question about pistons. They are not the same thing. Not everyone is as smart as you and may not know the answer to both. You didn't answer either one. ( I'm not too smart either because I did post the rod question twice when my finger slipped on the keyboard when posting. Sorry I wasted your time.)

You still apparently don't know the answer to any of them! I need help not wisecracks.

He gave you a link to some good examples...

I would say forged manley rods would be fine... not that expensive and are pretty strong...

Any reason you are planning to forged the entire rotating assembly? alot of companies make kits with EXCELLENT parts.

?

Anything on that page will be more than enough for what your wanting to do.

Define 10+ psi.. are you going to run 10 PSI, 11, or 15? Are you going to leave the rest of the engine stock?

When I up the boost, I am going to go with a complete VT engines shortblock. You can't just replace the rods/pistons and hope for the best. Some people push the stock crank to close to 500 WHP, but why risk it?

to be able to make 500hp... you will need the billet aluminum rods. they are light so you gain more power, and they are stronger than the steel since they are billet... the motor will rev higher and it will be fast

Very smart 2000GT....very smart! Makes no sense to risk it (big power) on the stock crank.
