PI swap with VT stage 1 cams?
ok this is the setup i want to go with this summer, PI swap but do the VT stage 1 cams. now my question is will i need a dyno tune before even driving it or would it be ok to drive it to the dyno which is three hours away. also what kind of power can i expect with this, i may do LT's during the process as well. that all depends on money though. thanks

You do not need a tune with Stage 1 cams.
I asked this question to Scott at VT Engines and he replied that you do not need new springs or a tune with the Stage 1 cam.
He did say that while a tune isn't required he recommends getting MPH (or someone you trust)to send a custom tune if you have an SCT X-cal as you can get some extra hp from the cams. I do not have a dyno in my area so the X-cal is the only way for me to get more from the cam install.

take it from someone who HAS stage one cams, you can drive it without a tune, i drove mine for 2 weeks without a tune and it sucked, but you WILL need one, the car runs like complete garbage and the idle is unessisary, i was literaly afriad i was gonna snap a motor mount at idle, trust your gonna need one asap, no questions
