Default help gut my cats

i got 4 new cats, i have a total of 6 cats. i wannted to gut the remaing 2 old ones.. there in the middle of the 4 new ones, how can i? can a shop just gut them, and make it look like they are still working? and i won't get a o2 code since there is a cat before the sensor right??

Just get a 180 dollar o/r X from someplace like BBK and bolt it in. You can get MIL elimiators off the web or just make them yourself to keep the CEL from coming on.

Just gutting the cat isn't gonna do much for sound or performance.

no i felt a big diff in power i felt like my gt was running more free then it was with cats...lot better throtle responce

cats really dont help you much at all as faras environment goes, but does free up horsepower and torque i bought an SCT tuner and got an off road H-pipe the tuner frees up horse power and turns off the O2 sensors and so does the catless H-pipe its like a bonus to geting a tuner. that is prob your best bet screw cats the car sounds so much better with out them anyway.

unless you personally know a shop owner they probably wont gut your cats for you it is verry illegal. but it sound awsome . i cut all four of mine off and welded in 2 hollow cats on my 98 cobra it sounds awsome.

actually, big surprise to me, in san antonio texas, they don't check emissions..... yet... i just saw an article this morning about making it nessesary to check emissions.
