Default rpm mod those that have done it?

so i got bored one day and decided to do the rpm mod. which was taking the IAC gasket and making a new one. i tried a few differnt holes and found one that works really well. my rpms droped quick and it was awsome. i loved it. it was hard at first to get used to shifting but after i got used to it, my car felt like it was a little bit faster. my check engine light didnt come on untill 3 days later. i got annoyed with the sucking it was making. it sounded like a vacum leak. so i took that gasket out and put the stock one back in. its been 3 days again and my cel is still on. car is running fine. any one else that did this mod did your cel light come on? if so what was it that was wrong with the car?

Did you pull the neg battery terminal to reset it? Did you get the CEL code(s) read?

I did the IAC restrictor mod to the mustang and ford ranger. Works great. Much less RPM hang. No problem with codes or drivability.

I tried it last week and didnt really like it. I made a new gasket anyways with holes a tiny bit smaller than the original ones. Not much of a difference, but a little better then it was...
