Runnin rich

I have a '96 GT with vortech s-trim, offroad H (w/ M.I.L. eliminators), MAF with matching injectors, etc.

why is it running rich? and what is the best way to retard the timing?

Well first off you have to have a programmer or a custom tune to have that set-up anyways, but you can fix that without changing anything but your spark plugs. What do you have and what are they gapped at?
