I have a 1997 mustang gt 5-speed that when im going down the road it will start sputtering if you get on it to hard. I'm not sure but I think its starving for fuel and may need another fuel filter. please tell me what you think so maybe I can try to fix it. thanks.theorgnlimprtkillr

 

Change the fuel filter first and get the injectors cleaned or try running a can of BG 44K fuel system cleaner in the gas tank after you change the filter.

 

Also, check to make sure your plug wires are in tight.

 

fuel pump i am having the same problem. starts acting up about 3,000 rpm's. changed my filter and didn't help so i called my mechanic and he said fuel pumpo so i went to www.uprproducts.com and ordered part number: 4006-2 walbro 255LPH pump. should be here wed.or thurs. then change your injectors to 24lbs
