RE: Cam gear kit for VT stage 1's? How hard to install just cams?
They aren't that had at all, once you get your valve covers off they are right there, i'd buy the VT STAGE 2 THO, look them up on youtube.com, they sound sick. I'm ordering myself a pair pretty soon, where are you buying yours from cause the only place i find them is vtengines.com, wondering if there is anywhere else.

I have an automatic, so I would need a stall converter to run stage 2's, I think. And I don't really want to buy/install or pay to install valve springs.

valve springs are a pain in the *** to install with the heads on the car, but i have done it.. i dont want to again though. for the stage 1's... take the valve covers off, take the front gear to the cam off and also the cam, put the new cam in and put the gear on it... and reassemble.. its that easy
