Default Slit in tire?

I have BFGs and have only had them for maybe a month... Well when i was buffing my rims i noticed a slit in the tire thats maybe 6 inches long and deep enought to stick half a penny in..... Is this something i should worry about? Its on the top of the sidewall....

I`m sure it`s fine. I had a screw go into my tire 1/2" and nothing happened. As long as it`s holding air, it`s fine.

its not uncommon at all to get little slits in the tread of your drag radials.. the rubber is EXTREMELY soft and if you run over something sharp planted to the ground it will do it really easy. Just make sure its not THROUGH the tread into the tire.

Also, make sure the tire isnt rubbing on anything. If its not, then it should be fine. You'll see those come and go as you wear out the tread on your tires.
