How can you tell if it's a true saleen or not without taking the vin & checking it? Anything visual that sets it off?

Reason I'm asking is a guy I work with has one & claims his is a true one. I asked why there was no # on the bumper & he said it got repainted. I've heard that there is a matching # on the dash, but didn't want to say anything without knowing.

So what are some things I can look for to tell?

Is the dash signed?

Tell him to pop the hood. Right in front of the drivers side it should have a little metal plate that should say Saleen and have a number.
