Default Ebay Intake Install Problem

I am new to the site and I apoligize in advance if this is a stupid question. I recently bought an intake off of ebay for my 2001 gt. I went to install it and everything fit perfectly until i went to reinstal the 2 rubber hoses that plug into the side of the upper part of the intake. The first hose fit fine but the second one was not long enough and seemed too big to snugly fit on the intake. This was the hose that came from the tb i think. Has anyone else had this problem? If so what should I do to get this thing to work? Thanks in advance for any help. Btw...I love this site and have been on it everyday since i got my mustang two weeks ago!
