Hey guys finnaly got my 04 GT yesterday. Its white with gray leather 5spd. 40k miles 100% bone stock the windows are not even tinted. Got it for 16k from a Cadillac dealership out the door, a bit high i know but it was exactly what i wanted and the car is absolutley flawless. Ill post some pics when i get back to Houston on Tuesday. Anyway i have 2gs left over for mods i have already decided on chrome DD bullits with sumitomo 315s, flowmaster exhaust, o/r x, 4.10s and a 1.5 inch drop. In the next few months steeda pulleys, Mgw short throw, CAI, sub frames, tuner, and other little crap. Im planning to stay N/A and just looking for a mid 13 sec ride which i think is pretty realistic with the planned mods and after i learn to drive it. Anyway so for my flood of questions now. you guys with 315s have do you have any problems with your stock clutch slipping? I have a friend with 315s and stock gears on his 03 and if he really stomps on it in 1st or 2nd his clutch will slip. Just a bad clutch or is this to be expected? I know the sumis are not the best for traction but will i still have problems spinning off the line with 4.10s or will it not be to bad? What is the recomended place in the Houston area for a gear install I do not mind paying a little more if the person is highly recomended and stands behind their work but i think anything over 300 or so is getting a bit steep. Last any mustang clubs or meet and greets in the Houston area. I still have alot more questions and have been wearing out the search function thanks for any help.

The Sumitomos have nothing to do with his clutch slipping. If it's that bad, he probably needs a new one. The Sumis grip about like the stock tires. With 4.10s, you're going to spin. To help with that, I'd replace the lower (and upper) controls arms. With an auto, 4.10s are usually recommended, but fora 5 spd, I'd consider 3.73s.

Nice buy. Enjoy and good luck.

Please don't use an X with Flows....[:'(]

Go with an off road H or ProChamber and you can thank me later...

If you're putting in gears you're probably gonna have to get a tuner now and not later, unless you want to spend $100 now on a speed-cal and more for a tuner later.

I agree with above, I just installed a new set of flows and love them, definately go with a prochamber or an O/R H pipe over an X pipe.

I know the wheels your talking about and would love to get the same ones for my car, i'm in the process of deciding if I want wheels or gears first.

You're doing the same thing as me...wheels, tuner, exhaust, gears. Can't wait till mine is all done. I'm leaving the drop till later as well, unless I can find a set of springs cheap.

Congrats on the car man.
