there are alot of things that may need to be replaced. it all depends on what ford recommends. the air bags themselves can bee $500+. once you add in sensors, and computers.....it'll be expensive. and id take it to a qualified technician. saftey equipment is too important to f**k up

You came to the right place my friend! I had the same problem with mine! Hit a curb doin loopdy loos... air bags popped out! it was no bueno! First time I had ever done loopdy loos in this car... and the last! You will need both air bags and the control module... the controle module is located behind the shifter! you can get to it on the floor by the gas pedal on the hump... go to eBay... it will probably cost you anywhere from 5-$600! Dont worry... it is something anyone who has ever held a wrench can do! Just be sure to disconnect the battery and wait 10 mins. the controle module stores juice! Replace both bags and the module... then hook the battery back up... if the air bag lightis off you are golden! If not you may need to replace sensors, or something else... there was something in the steering column that sometimes needs to be replaced... but i am unsure! There is a link below.... in that thread you will fina all info you need and the scematics for replacing both the passenger and drivers side air bags! Good luck!

Just be EXTREMELY careful.. Think of an airbag like a bomb.. Make sure to always keep the face of the bag pointed AWAY from you or anyone nearby..
Also, you WILL need a new Clock Spring. Don't forget to lock the steering wheel in place before servicing the car, and make sure when it's locked in place, it's in the straight ahead position, for best Clock spring alignment....
I bet the teather inside the clock spring broke when you hit the curb.. Just a guess..

Are you absolutely sure your SRS works?? Even if the Airbag light isn't illuminated, it may still not work...
Just so you know..
